A former Cerritos College relief pitcher during the Covid-shortened 2020 season, Andy Hurtado is a volunteer assistant who will work with the pitchers and catchers. During his season with the Falcons, he appeared in eight games and went 1-1 with four saves and a 2.60 ERA. He struck out 22 batters in 17 1/3 innings, including a season-high nine in his lone start of the season where he went 5 2/3 innings. Hurtado posted his four saves in four consecutive appearances.

Hurtado, 24, came to Cerritos after spending the 2018 season at Rio Hondo College, where he saw action in four games and went 2-1 with a 6.75 ERA in eight innings.

After the 202 season, Hurtado transferred to Cal Poly Pomona, where he played in 2022 and appeared in six games. He tossed 6 1/3 innings, struck out six batters and shared in a shutout. An arm injury ended his playing career and he's now turned his attention to coaching.
