Joining the Falcon coaching staff for his first season, Diego Alarcon spent the 2023 season as a member of the El Camino College staff. In that season, the Warriors won the South Coast Conference championship and recorded a 31-win season. He will work with the Falcon infielders.

Alarcon played two seasons (2018 & 2020) at El Camino College, where he earned an ABCA/Rawlings Pacific Association Division Gold Glove as a freshman. He batted a combined .340, scored 60 runs, had 52 RBI and a .488 slugging percentage. As a sophomore with the Warriors, Alarcon had a career-best 11-game hitting streak and concluded the season with a .370 batting average with eight doubles, two home runs and 15 RBI.

He transferred to UNLV, where he was named 2nd Team All-Mountain West as a senior after batting .343 with 18 doubles, 10 home runs, 53 RBI and 28 walks. In his junior campaign, Alarcon hit .336 with a team-high 15 doubles, two home runs and 24 RBI.

Alarcon prepped at Long Beach Millikanm High, where he had a career .337 batting average in three seasons and eanred the school’s Golden Ram Award.

Alarcon earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from UNLV in 2022.

Alarcon, 24, and his wife Gina were married in August, 2022 and have two children – Dominic (2) and Drew, who was born in December, 2023. They reside in Hawthorne.
