Playing in their first home game of the season, the Cerritos College men's basketball team came up short in a 75-69 decision against East Los Angeles College on Saturday night. The loss drops the Falcons to 4-3 on the year, while they will now host Pasadena City College at 6:00 p.m. next Friday.

Trailing 37-30 at halftime, Cerritos started to get back in the game, as sophomore Dorian Harris (Cerritos HS) started getting hot from outside. By the end of the game, Harris drained four three-pointers and finished with 13 points off the bench. Freshman Jalen Shores (Lakewood HS) led the team with 17 points on 5-of-9 shooting from off the bench, with the duo of sophomores Cerroy Chenault (Warren HS) and Andre Fields (Warren HS) each contributing 11 points. Chenault also had five rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Shores and Harris were the only players to score off the bench, with sophomore Jaishon Forte (Rancho Verde HS) posting eight points and five rebounds, with Juice Belvin (St. Anthony HS) contributing seven points, three rebounds and a pair of steals.
