For the third game in a row, the Cerritos College men's soccer team struggled with finding their offense, as they dropped a 3-1 South Coast Conference crossover decision to host Chaffey College on Friday afternoon. The loss was the third in a row for the Falcons (6-5-4), who will look to end their skid next Tuesday when they host East Los Angeles College at 4:00 p.m. in another crossover game.

In the team's six wins, Cerritos has scored 29 goals, while they have been limited to just two goals in their five losses, including just one goal in their last three games.

The team's lone tally came right before the end of the first half, as freshman Oscar Canela (Paramount HS) worked hard to find enough space to feed a pass to sophomore Edwin Corona (Cathedral HS). The play concluded with Corona getting off a shot that found the back of the night, which was his sixth goal of the season, which ranks second on the team behind Canela's eight.

Freshman goalkeeper Hernan Perez (Pioneer HS) turned away six shots, while he suffered his first loss of the season. It was also the most goals allowed this season by Perez.
