The Falcon men's soccer team open SoCal Regional Playoffs on Saturday

Champions of the South Coast Conference South Division, the Cerritos College men's soccer team will open the playoffs on Saturday. The Falcons (9-7-5) were seeded #15 for the Southern California Regional Playoffs and will take on #2-seeded Golden West at 2:00 p.m. in their opener.

Cerritos dropped a 1-0 decision to the Rustlers (13-0-7) back on February 9 and are riding a two-game winning streak and playing with more confidence. The Falcons struggled through a period where they went 3-5-1, but ended the season outscoring their opponents, 7-2.

Golden West won the Orange Empire Conference, and although they went unbeaten in conference play, they did tie five of their contests, including three of their final five.

The Falcons have faced seven other teams from Southern California that advanced to the post-season and are a combined 1-5-2 against them.
