For the fourth time this season, the Cerritos College men's soccer team has played to a scoreless draw. On Friday, the Falcons (14-0-4, 4-0-1) and host Compton College (12-5-2, 4-2-1) kept each other from scoring, in a game that was hotly contested. In the first half, five yellow cards were issued, while the Tartars played the final 53 minutes with just 10 players after Juan Albizar received a red card. Cerritos will host Los Angeles Harbor College at 1:00 p.m. next Tuesday in another South Coast Conference South Division game.

Neither team could get much going in the way of offense, as each of them recorded three shots on goal apiece. Compton did get a couple of good looks at the goal in the first half, but three attempts were off target against Falcons goalkeeper Jordan Aldama (North Torrance HS).

For Cerritos, sophomores Luis Garcia (La Habra HS) and Oscar Canela (Paramount HS) had the best scoring chances, with Garcia getting a good look in the beginning of both halves. The last chance in the game came with less than five minutes remaining, as Canela sent a hard shot at Compton goalie Larry Sanchez, who made his third save of the game. Aldama, who posted his eighth complete game shutout, also made three saves.
