Downey HS: Specialized in the 50-yard freestyle (21.0), 50-yard breaststroke (.35.0), 100-yard freestyle (52.0), 200-yard freestyle (2:00) and 500-yard freestyle (6:15)… Placed fourth in the 500-yard freestyle at the San Gabriel Valley League Championships… Was a member of four straight league championship teams… Spent four years on the swimming and water polo, as well as one season with the cross country team…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when his team clinched their fifth straight league title… Would like to transfer to Cal State Long Beach and aspires to work for a financial firm as an accountant… His brother Andrew (16) is on the track and field team at Downey High… Hobbies include playing video games… Nicknamed “Mikey”… Is the son of Pedro and Martha Garcia… Born in Whittier, CA on February 15, 1998…..
