M. Swimming: One-day results net 15th place finish

Competing on just one day of the three-day Pasadena Invitational, the Cerritos College men's swimming team compiled 17 team points, which put them in 15th place. The Falcons will next compete in the South Coast Conference Championships, which will take place April 20-22 at Mt. San Antonio College.

The best finish of the day for Cerritos came in the 200-yard freestyle, as sophomore Jesus Rojas (Colegio Fray Luis Amigo, Venezuela) came in 13th place with his time of 1:52.08. Also competing for the Falcons in the event was sophomore Jason Ly (Villa Park HS), whose time of 1:56.17 put him in 21st place overall. Rojas also earned the team points with his 16th place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with his clocking of 55.36.

A pair of relay races earned Cerritos team points, with the quartet of Rojas, Ly, freshman Nigel Rueda (Schurr HS) and sophomore Kaito Hori taking 15th place in the 200-yard freestyle with their time of 1:35.07. In the 400-yard medley relay, the order of Ly, Rueda, Rojas and Hori posted am 18th place time of 3:53.11.
