For the second season in a row, Cerritos College sophomore swimmer Kobe Hurtado was the lone representative from the team at the 3C2A State Championships.
Turning in their best finish since 2016, the Cerritos College men's swimming team finished in third place at the South Coast Conference Championships, which took place at East Los Angeles College.
Hosting not only their first meet of the season, but also their South Coast Conference opener, the Cerritos College men's swimming team dropped a 155.5-100.5 score to Long Beach City College on Friday.
In their first competition of the season, the Cerritos College men's swimming team finished in third place in the South Coast Conference Pentathlon at El Camino College on Friday.
