The Cerritos College men's tennis team registered an 8-1 South Coast Conference win over host El Camino College on Thursday for their seventh straight win. The Falcons (8-2, 2-0) will now travel to Glendale College for a 2:00 p.m. non-conference match on Tuesday.

The match started in doubles play and Cerritos swept all three of them to give them a great advantage heading into singles action. The tandem of sophomore Nathan Eshmade (Kings Baptist, Australia HS) and freshman Amadi Kagoma (Malezi School, Kenya HS) posted an 8-3 win, while the other two matches required a bit more effort. Freshmen Nicholas Simonelli (Long Beach Wilson HS) and Sheldon Hseih (Long Beach Poly HS) joined sophomore Mark Herrera (Bosco Tech HS) and freshman Milos Zoric (Gimnazjia Indijija, Serbia HS) with solid wins, as they won, 8-6 and 8-5, respectively. It was the first doubles win for Herrera and Zoric.

The Falcons dominated at the top of the ladder in singles play, with Eshmade (6-0, 6-1), Kagoma (6-1, 6-1) and Simonelli (6-2, 6-4) picking up wins. Hseih needed a third set to defeat Calvin Hoo, 6-2, 5-7, 6-0, while freshman Simon Graff (Clements, TX HS) took control in the second set, 6-2 after pulling out a 7-5 win in the first set.
