Competing without three of their starters, the Cerritos College men's tennis team was still strong enough to defeat El Camino College, 6-3 in their final South Coast Conference match. The three points earned by the Warriors came on forfeits, as the Falcons 17-4, 6-0) won all of the competed matches. The team will now play three-non-conference matches before starting the post-season, with the first next Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. against Bakersfield College.

Missing on the day were Antonio Torrebella-Clark (Cypress HS), Henry Ayesiga (Malezi School, Kenya) and Mathieu David (Nimes, France), all for various reasons.

It forced sophomore Amadi Kagoma (Malezi School, Kenya) to team with sophomore Milos Zoric (Gimnazjia Indija, Serbia) in the top doubles match. The two played very well together, as they posted an 8-3 win, while freshmen Agustin Lombardi (E.S.O.S., Argentina) and Mark Antoniuk (W. 124 School, Russia) recorded an 8-2 win in the other doubles match.

Zoric posted a 6-0, 6-0 win in his singles match, while Kogoma (6-0, 6-2) and Lombardi (6-3, 6-0) each won handily. Antoniuk had his hands full, but he outlasted Whitney Reed, 7-6, 6-4.
