Facing an understaffed Victor Valley College on Friday, the Cerritos College men's tennis team earned a pair of wins to close out their Western State Conference East Division schedule. The Falcons (23-2, 9-0) will conclude their regular season when they travel to Glendale College for a 2:00 p.m. match on Tuesday. The team will then host the conference's tournament on Thursday through Saturday.
Earning a pair of straight set wins in singles play were freshmen Shabani Kabura (Penn Foster, PA HS), Jacob Corleto (Warren HS) and Nico De La Pena (Downey HS), while Kabura and Corleto teamed for a pair of 8-1 wins in doubles action. Though all three have seen limited action this season, the three have combined to go 18-1 in singles play.
