The Cerritos College men's tennis team won their fourth match in a row when they shut out host Mt. San Antonio College, 9-0 on Tuesday. The Falcons (5-1, 2-0) will travel to Victor Valley College for a 2:00 p.m. conference match on Thursday.
It was nearly a clean swep over the Mounties (0-2, 0-1), as Cerritos dropped just one game all afternoon. At the top of the singles ladder, freshman Arthur Toledo (Goliath Academy, FL HS) posted a 6-1, 6-0 win, while the other three singles and both doubles matches ended without Mt. San Antonio taking a single game. The Falcons received forfeit win in the final two singles and one doubles match.
Toledo and his doubles partner, sophomore Bruno Duarte (Centro Educacional Rogêdo, Brazil) earned an 8-0 win, while Duarte posted a 6-0, 6-0 win in his #2 singles position. The same could be said for singles players Jan Simon (Gymnasium Auf Der Karthause, Germany/Cypress College) and Lucas Legrand (Marie, France), while the two played in the #1 doubles spot and earned an 8-0 win.
