Picking up their fifth straight win, the Cerritos College men's tennis team posted a 9-0 Western State Conference East Division win over host Victor Valley College on Thursday. The Falcons (6-1, 3-0) will travel to El Camino College next Tuesday for another conference match.

Continuing their dominance over opponents, the top two singles players were given the day off, with the Falcons not missing a beat. Playing in the #1 position, Jan Simon (Gymnasium Auf Der Karthause, Germany/Cypress College) earned a solid 6,1 6-1 victory, while freshmen Lucas Legrand (Marie, France), Stevan Quintantar (Cerritos HS) and sophomore Nico De La Pena (Downey HS) each surrendered just one game in their 6-1, 6-0 victories. Sophomore Tomas Bella (Colegio Mallinckrodt, Argentina/Cypress College) swept past Richard Meza, 6-0, 6-0 in the #4 spot on the singles ladder, with Cerritos receiving a forfeit win at #6.

Quintantar and De La Pena doubled up for an 8-0 win, while Simon and Bella teamed up for the first time and earned an 8-4 win in doubles play.
