For the seventh year in a row, the Cerritos College men's tennis team clinched the conference championship. The first five were when the team was part of the South Coast Conference, while the last two have been part of the Western State Conference East Division. The Falcons (15-2, 8-1) posted a 6-0 shutout win over Mt. San Antonio College and will now host the conference tournament starting on Thursday.

This was the third time the two teams had met up, with the Falcons dropping a combined three games over the course of the season. On Tuesday, Cerritos didn't surrender a single game, while they received three of their team points due to forfeits.

Returning to the lineup healthier than in his last match, freshman Arthur Toledo (Goliath Academy, FL HS) secured a win in the #1 singles position, with sophomore Jan Simon (Gymnasium Auf Der Karthause, Germany/Cypress College) earning his first win playing at #2. Freshman Lucas Legrand (Marie, France), who teamed with Simon in an 8-0 doubles win, earned a victory in the #3 spot, with freshman Nico De La Pena (Downey HS) improving to 5-0 while playing in the #4 position on the singles ladder.
