Competing against three other schools at the Riverside 4-Way Meet on Friday, the Cerritos College men's track and field team compiled 66.0833 points to finish in second place. The host Tigers won the meet with 135.333 points, with Mt. San Antonio College (43.833 points) and San Diego Mesa College (38.75 points) also competing. The Falcons will take a week off before hosting the Cerritos Open on February 23.

Along with winning two of the relay races, the Falcons also won four other events on the day. Sophomore thrower Jorge Gonzalez (Ventura HS) turned in a pair of second place finishes in both the shot put (13.57 meters) and discus (40.90 meters). In other field events, freshman Brian Lanton (Bell Gardens HS) tied for first place in the pole vault at 4.25 meters, while Destin Flucas earned a share of first place in the high jump at 1.83 meters. Freshman Titus Houston (Narbonne HS) turned in a long jump of 6.65 meters, which earned him a first place.

Sophomore hurdler Victor Williams (Dorsey HS) ran the 60-meter HH in 8.20 to come in first place, while freshman Carlos Lopez (Cypress HS) earned second place in the 600 meters ith a time of 1:25.92. Right behind him was freshman Alberto Serrano (St. John Bosco HS), who posted a third place time of 1:27.26. Defensive CCCAA State Champion in the 100 meters, sophomore Kelly Brown (Wilson Magnet, NY HS/College of the Sequoias) recorded a third place time in the 60 meters at 6.80.
