Cerritos College Water Polo (2012): Named the team’s Most Improved Player… Appeared in 24 games and scored 28 goals with 15 assists and 16 steals… Posted a season-high seven goals against Chaffey College while he had four goals against Los Angeles Trade-Tech College… Had two goals and a season-high three steals against El Camino College and recorded a season-high three assists against Santa Ana College… Finished with three goals and three steals against Salem International (WV) University and had three goals against Rockford (MI)… Scored twice and assisted on two others against Cal Tech and also had a pair of steals against San Diego Mesa College and Santa Monica College…..

Cerritos College Swimming (2013): Was a member of four relay teams that competed at the state championships… Helped the 400-yard freestyle relay team break their own record with a time of 3:10.59 at the state championships and come in 10th place… The 200-yard freestyle relay team came in 12th place, while the 200-yard medley relay (12th place) and 400-yard medley relay teams (10th place) also earned points for the team… Swam the opening leg of the South Coast Conference championship 200-yard freestyle relay (1:26.07) and 400-yard freestyle relay (3:10.94) that set new school records and won the conference championship… Came in third place in the 100-yard freestyle (48.00) at the SCC Championships, along with a fourth place in the 100-yard butterfly (52.53) and finished in fifth in the 50-yard freestyle (22.04)… Also swam the 200-yard freestyle (1:48.39), 100-yard breaststroke (1:07.92), 100-yard backstroke (59.41) and 200-yard IM (2:05.53)…..

University of Arizona: Attended the school, but did not play water polo…..

Kennedy HS: Was an All-CIF selection as a senior and a three-time 1st Team all-league pick…Named their captain two years in a row… Voted the team’s Most Valuable Player as a senior after earning 1st Team All-CIF and 1st Team All-Empire League honors… Selected the team’s captain two years in a row and earned their Defensive MVP award as a junior… Team won the league championship his sophomore season... While on the swimming team, he was a four-year CIF qualifier and helped the team come in second place two years in a row..…

Personal: Would like to transfer to Cal State Long Beach… Hobbies include playing basketball… Is the older brother of Joseph (18), who was a red-shirt on the water polo team last season, while he has another sibling – Channon (16)… Nicknamed “Lightning”… Is the son of Wes and Cheyenne Owens… Born in Downey, CA on April 29, 1993…..
