Downey HS: Spent three years on the cross country and track and field teams… Was a CIF Qualifier in cross country as a sophomore and placed eighth in the San Gabriel Valley League Championships as a sophomore… While on the track team, he was a member of two league championship teams… Specialized in the 1600 meters (4:57) and 3200 meters (10:26)…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he qualified for the CIF Prelims and when he posted his personal best time in cross country… Would like to transfer to UC Irvine and aspires to be an engineer… Hobbies include playing the guitar and violin… Nicknamed “Paisa”… Has one brother – Ulysses (7)… Is the son of Margorito and Hilda Ayala… Born in Inglewood, CA on August 26, 1997…..
