Cerritos College Track & Field (2015): Spent the season as a red-shirt…..

Cerritos College Track & Field (2014): Competed in the decathlon and compiled 3850 points… Recorded results in the 100 meters (11.43), 400 meters (52.11), 800 meters (2:10.04), 1500 meters (4:39.12), 110-meter HH (20.44), pole vault (2.75 meters), long jump (5.63 meters), shot put (7.73 meters), discus (22.13 meters) and javelin (26.08 meters)…..

Huntington Park HS: Spent three years on the track team and two seasons on the cross country squad… Posted a personal best time of 16:37 and qualified for the CIF Finals… Was a CIF Prelims qualifier as a junior… Won the Eastern League championship in the 400 meters (52.6) as a senior, while also competing in the 200 meters (23.6)… As a junior, he ran a leg of the league champion 4x400-meter relay (2:33.56) team and helped the team go undefeated in league meets… Voted the team’s Most Valuable Athlete his sophomore year and led the team to the league championship…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he placed eighth in the CIF LA City Cross Country Prelims and advanced to the finals… Would like to transfer to Chico State or Cal State East Bay and aspires to be a physical education teacher… Has four siblings – Joel (22), David (16), Ana Laura (12) and Selena (11)… Is the son of Joel Del Carmen and Laura Saldana… Born in Huntington Park, CA on March 27, 1995…..
