Downey HS: Received the Coaches Award as a senior on the cross country team… While on the track and field team, he specialized in the 800 meters (2:02), 1600 meters (4:39), 3-mile (15:50) and 3200 meters (20:05)… Spent four seasons on the cross country and track and field teams…..
