With the final handful of games crucial to the Cerritos College women's basketball team's future this season, head coach Karen Welliver has chosen the February 6 game against El Camino College to serve as a welcome reception and homecoming for her former players. The Falcons (11-10, 5-5), who will have four regular season games remaining when they take on the Warriors, are mired in the middle of the South Coast Conference standings and are asking any former players to come out to the renovated gym to support the team.

The game is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. against El Camino and Welliver, who is in her 31st season as the Falcons head coach, is welcoming everyone to The Aviary for refreshments before the game, which is free to all. She's looking at the game as a homecoming for all of the players who worked hard in practice and in games to help her win 646 games, 11 South Coast Conference championships and seven state tournament appearances.
