One of the ways Cerritos College women's basketball coach Karen Welliver wanted to help dedicate the newly refurbished gym was to invite former players to come together for a homecoming. Welliver, along with Associate Head Coach Trisha Raniewicz, selected their February 6 game against El Camino College to host a reunion for any players that wanted to get together and watch the 2012-13 Falcon team in action. Over 20 former players were in attendance, as the team defeated the Warriors, 67-53.

"It was great to see so many of my former players come by tonight to see the new gym," said Welliver, who is in her 31st season at the helm. "There were others who said they would have loved to come by, but other committments prevented them from showing. I'm glad we were able to give them a good game and they all seemed very pleased with the gym."
