In a non-conference game at Los Angeles Pierce College on Tuesday, the Cerritos College women's basketball team rolled to a 99-46 victory. The 99 points were the most scored by a Falcons (4-3) team since recording a 100-41 victory over Los Angeles Southwest College in 2018. The team will now enter the Allan Hancock Tournament over the weekend and open with a 5:00 p.m. game against Fresno City College on Thursday.

In the win over the Brahmas (0-5), Cerritos scored at least 20 points in each of the four quarters, while they took 100 shots on the night. Helping the team get that many scoring chances came as a result of the team turning in 27 steals on defense. Eleven of the 12 players recorded at least one steal, while all 12 got on the scoreboard.

Freshman Valerie Romero (California HS) came off the bench to lead the team with 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting, while also pulling down four offensive rebounds. In all, the bench provided 59 points and 34 rebounds, with freshman Denise Cortez (Norwalk HS) checking in with nine points. Freshman Akayla Burton (El Segundo HS) led the team with eight rebounds to go with her four points, while sophomore Cynthia Almanzar (John Glenn HS) pulled down seven boards.
