Cerritos College Wrestling (2012): Placed third at the state championships at 125 pounds… Won his first match and then lost, which dropped him to the consolation round, where he won four straight matches… Finished the season with a 23-11 record… Came in fifth at the Southern California Regional Championships, while he went 4-0 at the East LA Quad… Also won the West Hills Tournament championship…..

Mesa (AZ) HS: Was the state runner-up at 125 pounds as a senior after finishing in third place at 119 pounds his junior season… Voted his team’s Most Outstanding Senior… Helped his team win three straight state championships… Spent four years on the wrestling team…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when his souple in the Moon Valley Championship match resulted in a disqualification his junior year and then faced the same opponent the next year and defeated him… Also won the Doc Wright Invitational Championship at 119 pounds… Would like to transfer to Cal Baptist University… Hobbies include snowboarding… Has four siblings – Victor (28), Nino (25), Xavier (14) and Dominic (8)… Is the son of Gabriel and Colette Ballesteros… Born in Miami, AZ on June 21, 1992…..
