Cerritos Wrestling (2008): Posted an 8-8 mark at 149 pounds and was 4-2 at 157 pounds… Reached the semi-finals of the Modesto Tournament, but lost his final two matches and finished in fourth place… One of his wins was a 13-5 victory over teammate Freddy Flores to advance to the semi-finals… Went 3-2 at 149 pounds at the Cerritos Tournament… Competed at 157 pounds at the San Francisco State Tournament and went 2-1…..

North Torrance
HS: Placed third in the CIF Championships as a senior, as his team won the title… Was a 1st Team All-Pioneer League selection as a senior and posted a 25-1 record… Team won the league championship two years in a row… Named 2nd Team all-league as a junior… Was coached by current Falcon head coach Don Garriott… Also spent three years on the baseball team and two on the football team…..

Personal:
Most memorable moment was when his team won the CIF Championship and when he competed in the Florida Disney Duals won the Hawaii Tournament championship… Would like to transfer to Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Los Angeles or Cal State Long Beach… Hobbies include eating and surfing… Has two brothers – Matt and Kenny… Is the son of Tom and Debbie Garnica… Born in Torrance, CA on September 4, 1990…..
