Now that the Cerritos College gym has completed its renovations, the space is now making itself available for a wide variety of events. The college has already played host to Falcon basketball games and CIF basketball playoff games, while they will also host the CIF volleyball championships this seaso. They can now add MMA fighting to the list. On Saturday, September 7, Cerritos College will present 15 fights, including three championship bouts as a fundraiser for the Falcon wrestling team.
Presented by KOFightNights.com and former Cerritos College All-Amercian and two-time state champion Antonio McKee, tickets are available for $25, while ringside seats are being sold for $50. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Falcon wrestling program, as well as concession sales. Of the 15 fights that night, former Falcon Mario Delgado, who finished eighth at the State Championships and second at the Southern California Championships in 2010 at 197 pounds, will be one of the competitors.
