Cerritos College Wrestling (2013): Qualified for the State Championships at 141 pounds and posted a 1-3 record… Went 7-6 at 141 pounds and 9-5 at 149 pounds… Earned a spot in the state tournament by coming in sixth place at the Southern California Championships and went 3-2… Won the 141-pound weight class at the East LA Brawl by going 3-0… Did not place in any other tournaments…..

Temescal Canyon HS: Was a member of the CIF Dual Meet Championship team and the Riverside County Championship team as a junior, while they also won the Sunbelt League championship… Placed fifth at 138 pounds at the Riverside County Championships as a senior… Spent two years on the wrestling team and one season on the basketball team…

Personal: Most memorable moment was when his team won the CIF Duals championship and being named their captain… Is working on a minor in natural science… Would like to transfer to Cal State Fullerton… Hobbies include playing basketball… Nicknamed “Y Yambriz”… Has two siblings – Armando (26) and Stacey (25)… Is the son of Armando Ambriz and Lorena Lizarraga… Born in Orange, CA on December 6, 1993…..
