Buena Park HS: As a senior on the wrestling team, he was a state qualifier after placing at the Masters Meet and winning the CIF Championship… Posted a 35-5 record and was voted the Freeway League Most Valuable Player while winning the league title… Earned All-County MVP honors and was voted his team’s MVP… Went 40-9 his junior season and was a state qualifier after placing at the Masters Meet and winning the CIF Championship… Was a CIF qualifier his sophomore year… Spent three years on the football and wrestling teams at Buena Park after attending Santa Fe High as a freshman…..
