Carson HS: Posted a 40-15 record with 20 pins as a senior at 138 pounds… Placed third at the CIF Championships… Spent two years on the wrestling team and four seasons on the volleyball team… Earned an academic award as a member of both teams his senior season… Helped the volleyball team win the CIF Championship as a senior, while they lost in the championships his junior year…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he executed his first fireman’s carry in the first home match of the season… Is working on a minor in business and aspires to be a either a match teacher or electrical engineer… Would like to transfer to either Cal State Long Beach or Cal State Dominguez Hills… Hobbies include listening to jazz… His sister Joanna (24) played softball at Carson High, while Desire (22) played soccer.. Nicknamed “J. T.”… Has two other siblings – Hannah (14) and Isaiah (8)… Is the son of Gilbert and Lupe Tanap… Born in Torrance, CA on March 26, 1995…..
