Cerritos College Wrestling (2010): Won the state championship at 125 pounds and helped the team come in second place at the CCCAA State Championships… Named 1st Team All-American… His Southern California Championship at 125 pounds helped the team win the overall championship… Also won the championship at the Modesto Tournament and Santa Ana Tournament… Named 1st Team all-conference at 133 pounds… Went 21-3 at 125 pounds and was 5-2 at 133 pounds on the season…

Canyon Springs HS: Won the National Championship as a senior at 112 pounds and finished second at the state championships… Also won the Masters Meet, CIF and the league championship his senior season while posting a 54-5 record… Named All-State as a senior, while he was a three-time All-CIF and four-time all-league selection… Placed fifth at Masters his junior year, while coming in ninth at CIF and winning the conference championship… Went 50-14 that year at 112 pounds… Came in fifth at the Nationals as a sophomore after coming in fifth at the Masters Meet and second in CIF… Had a 52-12 record as a sophomore at 103 pounds, while he went 40-10 his freshman season at 103 pounds… As a freshman, he placed sixth at CIF and second in the league championships…..

Personal: Most memorable was winning a state championship for the Falcons in 2010… Aspires to work out at the Olympic Training Center and would like to be an electrical engineer… Hobbies include working out… Is the younger brother of Joe Cabanas (29), who placed third at the state championships for the Falcons in 2008 and wrestled in the Army… Has two other siblings... Is the son of Joe and Tracy Cabanas… Born in Lakewood, CA on October 10, 1990…..
