Cerritos College Wrestling (2014): Posted a 2-9 overall record on the year… Went 1-2 at 184 pounds and was 1-7 at 197 pounds…..

Downey HS: His team placed second at the CIF Dual Championships three seasons in a row… Qualified for the Masters Meet at 182 pounds as a senior after coming in fourth place at the CIF Championships… Went 31-4 his senior season… Selected to the Press Telegram 2nd Team Dream Team… Was a three-year member of the 10-Pin Club…  Team won the San Gabriel Valley League championship his sophomore season and took second at the CIF Duals… Voted his team’s Most Improved Wrestler… Named the team’s Most Improved Wrestler his freshman season and helped the win the league title… Spent four years on the wrestling team…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he came in fourth place at the CIF Championships… Would like to transfer to Cal State Fullerton and aspires to be a math teacher… His father played baseball at Manual Arts High… Hobbies include working on cars and playing sports… Has one sibling – Donovan (11)… Is the son of Stephen and Monica Chavez… Born in Hollywood, CA on May 2, 1996…..
