Cerritos College Wrestling (2014): Posted an 8-2 record at 157 pounds and was 1-0 at 149 pounds… Went 3-0 and won the championship of the Cerritos Open… Also competed in the West Hills Tournament, but had to default due to an injury…..

Redondo Union HS: Posted a 25-3 record as a senior competing at 145 and 152 pounds… Won the Bay League championship and was a CIF Qualifier… Named his team’s Most Valuable Player and received the Best Senior Award and Coaches Award… Won the Riverside Poly Tournament, while coming in second at the Black Watch Tournament and third at the Brute Classic and Downey Invitational… As a junior, he won the Bay League championship at 145 pounds and was voted the team’s MVP and received the Best Junior Award… Went 25-10 and recorded the most wins and most pins on the team… Voted their MVP as a sophomore and went 20-13 with the most pins on the team… Placed second at the league championships and qualified for the CIF Prelims…..

Personal: Most memorable moments were reaching the finals of the Black Watch Tournament, winning the league championship and winning his first varsity match as a freshman… Would like to transfer to Arizona State University, Northern Colorado University, the University of Oregon or Cal Poly San Luis Obispo… Hobbies include wrestling, swimming and playing the guitar… Is related to Alterraun Verner, who plays for the Tennessee Titans and Chauncey Washington, who is a member of the St. Louis Rams… Has three siblings – Desiree (21), Naomi (20) and Talia (14)… Is the son of Ray and Ingrid James… Born in Torrance, CA on February 26 1996…..
