Fountain Valley HS: As a senior, he won the CIF championship at 220 pounds… Was a state qualifier and two-time Masters meet qualifier… Won the Cosserack Classic and Mann Classic, while placing fourth at the Five Counties Tournament… Named 1st Team All-Sunset League… Took fourth place at the CIF Championship as a junior after qualifying his sophomore year… Went 30-9 at 220 pounds his junior year… Selected 2nd Team all-league as a sophomore…

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he won the CIF championship as a senior… Aspires to be a special education teacher… His father was on the wrestling team at Golden West College… Nicknamed “Cheesey”… Has one brother – Blake (18), who will be his teammate this season and a sister, Tiffany (22)… Is the son of Robert and Jennifer Vasquez… Born in Fountain Valley, CA on September 6, 1996…..
