Cerritos College Wrestling (2016): Came in fifth place at the CCCAA State Championships at 149 pounds after taking second place at the Southern California Championships… Posted a 20-10 record… Took second place at the Fresno Open and West Hills Open, while finishing fourth at the Santa Ana Tournament…..

Calvary Chapel HS: Was a two-time CIF Champion and won the Academy League championship four years in a row… Was a state qualifier as a senior and placed fifth at the Masters meet his senior season… Qualified for the Masters meet his junior year… Competed at 126 pounds as a senior and junior, while he wrestled at 106 pounds in his sophomore and freshman years… Was also on the baseball team for four years…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was winning the CIF championship two years in a row… Hobbies include playing racquetball… Three of his brothers – Bronson (28), Caleb (27) and Jeremiah (22) wrestled for the Falcons… Has four other siblings – Bradford (44), Jewell (20), Grace (18) and Cosette (12)… Is the son of Tom and Janene Gerl… Born in Long Beach, CA on September 27, 1996…..
