Cerritos College Wrestling (2017): Took seventh place at the CCCAA State Championships at 184 pounds after coming in third place at the Southern California Championships… Posted a 23-17 record at 174 pounds… Reached the finals at the East LA Brawl, while he finished fourth at the Fresno City Tournament… Placed fifth at the Santa Ana Tournament…..

Lakewood HS: Named the Moore League Wrestler of the Year, as well as 1st Team Press Telegram Dream Team, Long Beach All-City and his school’s Wrestler of the Year as a senior… Won the CIF Championship at 170 pounds, as well as the league championship, while placing fifth at the Masters Meet and qualifying for the state championships… Won the Corona Centennial Tournament, while he placed third at the Mann Classic and fifth at the Sierra Nevada Classic and 5 Counties Tournament… Came in second place in the league finals his junior and sophomore years, while he was named Honorable Mention Press Telegram Dream Team his sophomore season and came in sixth place at the CIF Championships… Spent four seasons on the wrestling team…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was qualifying for the state championships by defeating an opponent who had beat him in all their previous matches…  Would like to transfer to Fresno State University and aspires to be a physical therapist… Hobbies include body surfing and lifting weights… Has a twin brother – Braydon (19), as well another brother, Randy (18), who will be his teammate this season… Is the son of Randy and Laura Gonzalez… Born on August 23, 1998…..
