Mayfair HS: Was a member of back-to-back CIF team champions as a junior and sophomore… Team also won the Suburban League title all four seasons… As a senior, he was voted his school’s Athlete of the Year and the team’s Most Valuable Player… Was a state qualifier at 195 pounds after placing sixth at the Master’s Meet and second at the CIF Championships his senior season… Won the Beach Bash Tournament championship and took second place at the Mann Classic… Master’s Meet qualifier as a junior and took fourth at the CIF Championships, while he was a CIF qualifier as a sophomore…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he qualified for the state championship after being a finalist at the CIF championships… Aspires to work in industrial design… Hobbies include art… His brother Brandon (21) was also a wrestler in high school… Nicknamed “Slick”… Is the son of George and Michelle Nunez… Born in Lakewood, CA on December 26, 1999…..
