Cerritos College Wrestling (2018): Posted an overall record of 17-13, while going 12-10 at 184 pounds and 5-1 at 197 pounds… Qualified for the CCCAA State Championships, but did not place… Reached the finals of the Southern California Championships… Took sixth place at the Fresno City Open at 184 pounds and in fourth place at the Santa Ana Tournament…..

Mayfair HS: Was a member of back-to-back CIF team champions as a junior and sophomore… Team also won the Suburban League title all four seasons… As a senior, he was voted his school’s Athlete of the Year and the team’s Most Valuable Player… Was a state qualifier at 195 pounds after placing sixth at the Masters Meet and second at the CIF Championships his senior season… Won the Beach Bash Tournament championship and took second place at the Mann Classic… Masters Meet qualifier as a junior and took fourth at the CIF Championships, while he was a CIF qualifier as a sophomore after coming in second place at the league championships…..

Personal: Most memorable moments were when he qualified for the state championship after being a finalist at the CIF championships, being a two-time CIF Team champion and reaching the finals of the Morro Bay Tournament… Would like to transfer to San Francisco State University… Aspires to be an industrial designer… Hobbies include art… His brother Brandon (22) was also a wrestler in high school… Nicknamed “Slick”… Is the son of George and Michelle Nunez… Born in Lakewood, CA on December 26, 1999…..
