In their final regular season game, the Cerritos College women's soccer team posted a 5-0 road win against El Camino College. The Falcons, who are the four-time defending CCCAA State Championships, also won their 10th straight South Coast Conference title. They are currently #1 in the state in power points and will find out on Tuesday where they are seeded for the Southern California Regional Playoffs. They will host a first round game on Saturday, November 19.

Continuing her torrid scoring pace, sophomore Carolina Jaramillo (Cetis 54, Tijuana HS) scored three more goals, to give her 13 on the year in just nine games, with nine of them coming in the last four matches. After sophomore Natalie de Leon (St. Joseph HS) gave the Falcons a 1-0 lead in the first half, Jaramillo scored three second half goals in the span of 15 minutes to put the game out of reach.

In the 50th minute, Jaramillo received a pass from sophomore defender Dana Jacobs (Yorba Linda HS/San Francisco State University), who assisted on the first goal, and after getting inside the 18-yard box, took a shot that deflected off a Warriors player and into the net. Just two minutes later, she was pulled down in the box and awarded a penalty kick that she converted. Jaramillo capped off her natural hat trick in the 65th minute when she caught up to a crossing pass on the ground from freshman Itzel Ballesteros (Maywood Academy HS) and tipped the ball in for a 4-0 advantage.

The Falcons closed out the scoring in the 83rd minute on a set piece, as freshman Elsie Gutierrez (Long Beach Jordan HS) sent a corner kick where sophomore Nicole Graham (Palm Springs HS/Citrus College) was there to head the ball in. Defensively, sophomore goalkeeper Ruby Nichols (Bishop Amat HS) was tested in the first half and turned away six shots, while she added two more in the second half to record her ninth shutout of the season.
