Heading into her second season as the Cerritos College women’s soccer interim head coach, Tessa Troglia is just the third coach in the history of the program. Prior to joining the Falcons staff, Troglia spent 12 years with the tough task of facing the Falcons as the head coach at East Los Angeles College. Over the course of her tenure with the Huskies, Troglia led the Huskies to their first-ever postseason appearance in 2009 and followed that by advancing three other times. Troglia was voted the South Coast Conference Women’s Soccer Coach of the Year in 2013 and 2016.

In addition to coaching at East Los Angeles, Troglia was also the girls’ varsity soccer head coach at La Serna High School, where she led the program to 13 consecutive league championships, 10 consecutive playoff appearances and captured two CIF titles (2006 & 2013). She was recognized as Del Rio League Coach of the Year in 2008, 2009, and 2012, while earning the Division IV CIF Coach of the Year in 2006 & 2013, as well as All-Area Coach of the Year in 2012 and 2013.

Troglia has also worked with Cal South in the Coaching Education Department, Women’s Committee, and also served as a coach for the Olympic Development Program (ODP) and Nevada’s ODP. She also spent the 2006 and 2007 as a part-time assistant coach at Cerritos College. Troglia currently serves as the Director of Coaching (DOC) for FC Premier Whittier, where she is one of three female DOC's in Southern California, which fields over 350 teams. Troglia has been featured on two different occasions on the “Soccertoday.com website for her impact and successes in the soccer community”.

Coach Troglia played collegiately for Cal State University of Los Angeles, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing. After college, she played in the women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) for Rampage FC and LAFC, as well as overseas for Division I women's professional team F.C. Girona in Spain. She possesses her USSF 'B’ national coaching license. Troglia earned her Masters of Science in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific.

Troglia resides in Whittier with her sons Mason and Aidan , and enjoys playing poker, competing in jiu-jitsu tournaments, and traveling.
