Freshman Lizbeth Ramirez (Sunny Hills HS) picked up three individual wins and a relay win on Friday, to help the Cerritos College women's team to a pair of South Coast Conference wins. The host Falcons defeated Chaffey College, 162-96, while they recorded a 188-49 victory over East Los Angeles College. On Friday, Cerritos (3-1) will travel to Pasadena City College for a 12:30 p.m. conference meet against the host Lancers and Los Angeles Trade-Tech College.

Ramirez swam the freestyle leg of the 200-yard medley relay that posted a first place time of 2:11.82, which was six seconds ahead of second place Chaffey. Joining her in the race were freshmen Carolina Medrano (Schurr HS), Jahnavi Shah (Cerritos HS) and Joanna Porras (Warren HS). Ramirez picked up her second win of the day in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:13.20 and then she bested the field in the 50-yard freestyle with a quick time of 26.52. She was over three seconds faster than the second place finisher, while freshman Elisabeth Stansell (Los Alamitos HS) took third in 29.97. Ramirez capped her day with a three-second win in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 1:00.98, with Martinez in third place at 1:04.16.

Also winning three indivdual events, Medrano posted a first place time in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:11.82, which was five seconds ahead of the rest of the field. She earned a nine-second win in the 200-yard backstroke with a clocking of 2:36.67 and for good measure, was :44 seconds ahead of everyone in the 500-yard freestyle when she completed the race in 6:00.23. Porras earned a first place finish in the 200-yard butterfly with her time of 2:43.78, which was :16 seconds ahead of Martinez, who came in second place at 2:59.43. She also picked up a first place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:13.19, which was :11 seconds faster than the next finisher, as well as the 200-yard IM (2:43.72)

Freshman Nine Wathanasayhee (Los Alamitos HS) earned a second place time in the 1000-yard freestyle with a clocking of 14:01.32, with Porras coming in third in the 200-yard freestyle at 2:18.91.
