During the 2015 year, he led the Falcons to a 19-7 record and reached the second round of the CCCAA Team Playoffs after coming in third place in the South Coast Conference. Individually, the doubles team of Taylor Heath and Mariia Yatsenko reached the quarterfinals of the state tournament. Back in 2009, Kim saw his doubles team of Doug Edwards and Jason Wall win the Ojai Tournament championship, while they also advanced to the semi-finals of the state championship after reaching the championships in their freshman year. It also marked the first time a Cerritos men’s tennis doubles team had ever reached the state championship match.
