On Friday at the Riverside 4-Way Meet, the Cerritos College women's track and field team compiled 70 team points to finish in second place. The host Tigers won the meet with 108 team points, while Mt. San Antonio College (50 points) and San Diego Mesa College (28 points) also competed on the day. The Falcons will take a week off before hosting the Cerritos Open on February 23.

Cerritos took the top two finishes in the 60 meter sprint, with freshman Kenyla Miles (Carson HS) winning the event in 7.50, while sophomore Kierra King (Long Beach Wilson HS) was right behind in second place at 7.60. King also ran the second leg of the winning 4x400-meter relay race and was joined by freshman Alia Scott (Vista HS), freshman Laurel Shepherd (Irvine HS) and freshman Mahlaya Salter (Diamond Ranch HS) in a time of 3:58.96. The Falcons also took second place in the 4x100-meter relay race.

In the 300 meters, freshman Shyanne Carrigan (Fullerton HS) checked in with a second place time of 42.29, while Shepherd checked in with a second place finish in the 600 meters with a time of 1:42.97. The duo of freshman Daila Bey (Carson HS) and Scott finished in second and third place in the 60-meter HH with respective times of 9.37 and 9.51.

Justice Smith defeated two teammates to win the triple jump with a distance of 11.45 meters, with sophomore Imani Jones (Mater Dei HS) earning a second place finish in the long jump at 5.23 meters. In the shot put, sophomore Nanati Alailefaleula (Long Beach Millikan HS) came in second place with a distance of 11.75 meters.
