With just four conference matches remaining, the Cerritos College volleyball team knows they need to win as many games as possible if they are to be in contention for the post-season. The Falcons (14-9, 7-3) quickly disposed of Los Angeles Harbor College on Wednesday night with a 25-11, 25-23, 25-13 South Coast Conference win. The victory keeps the team in third place and are two games behind second place Mt. San Antonio College. Cerritos will host fourth place Pasadena City College at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Facing the winless Seahawks, the Falcons were able to post a .337 hitting percentage and recorded nine service aces to aid them in the victory. Sophomore Nicole Spigner (La Mirada HS) led the team with 12 kills and added six digs, while freshman Kayley Stephens (Cypress HS) had 10 kills with just one attack error and also posted a pair of solo blocks.

Sophomore setter Natalie Caravantes (Baldwin Park HS) dished out 29 assists and also added four kills in as many attempts, with freshman Monica Vega (South Gate HS) recording six kills without an error and contributed seven digs. The duo of sophomores Jasmine Peralta (Lakewood HS) and Valerie Montoya (La Mirada HS) combined for seven of the team's nine service aces, with Peralta leading the team with 10 digs.
