On Friday, the Cerritos College volleyball team dropped a three-set match to host Los Angeles Harbor College, 15-25, 22-25, 18-25 in a South Coast Conference South Division match. The loss drops the Falcons to 0-15 overall and 0-3 in divisional play. It was the first of six consecutive road matches for Cerritos, who will travel to Los Angeles Trade-Tech for a 6:00 p.m. match on Friday. With both teams winless on the season, one will come away with their first victory of the year.

As with most of their losses this season, the Falcons were victimized at the net. They hit .122 at the net, but finished the night with just 20 total kills coming from six of the seven players that appeared in the match. Leading the team in the three major categories was sophomore Daisy Segura (Cerritos HS), who posted six kills, seven assists and eight digs, as the team played without a traditional setter.

Freshman Jody Suski (Cerritos HS), the team's top hitter, posted five assists to go along with her three kills and seven digs, with freshman libero Nataly Reynoso (Pioneer HS) contributing four kills and five digs in the loss. As for freshman Nadia Arreaga (L.A.C.E.S. HS), she joined Suski with a trio of kills and added five digs, with a pair of players posting two kills each.
