Qualifying for the Southern California Regional Playoffs for the second season in a row, the Cerritos College women's water polo team saw their year come to an end with a 9-4 loss to rival Long Beach City College. The Falcons (13-12), who were the 12th, and final seed, in the post-season, played without two of their starters against the Vikings (20-8) in their first round game at Los Angeles Valley College.

Despite playing with the minimum amount of players, Cerritos was within a 5-3 score with 2:24 left in the second quarter after consecutive goals by sophomore Isabella Sierra (California HS). But LBCC responded by scoring the next three goals to extend their lead to 8-3 early in the fourth quarter.

The team was without second-leading goal scorer Lizbeth Gomez (Schurr HS) and her 57 goals and 47 steals on the season, along with sophomore Elisa Prohroff (Schurr HS), who had accounted for 38 assists and 36 steals. Stepping up was freshman Joanna Joson (Gahr HS), who scored the game's first goal, which was just her 12th on the season. Freshman Hailey Rabb (Gahr HS) also turned in a career-high seven field blocks for Cerritos, with sophomore goalkeeper Ivanna Tostado (Troy HS) turning away 12 shots.

NOTES: Isabella Sierra concluded her season with 98 goals, which puts her fourth in single-season school history and two goals shy of being just the fourth player to ever score over 100 goals. She also ended the season fourth in the state in goals, while her 163 career goals leaves her third in school history. As for Ivanna Tostado, she finished the year with 248 saves, which currently puts her fourth in the state, while the total places her third in school history for saves in a season. The 52 season assists for Hailey Rabb sees her third in the state at the conclusion of the season for the Falcons and second in a season in school history.
