Running in the heat of Las Vegas, the Cerritos College women's cross country team finished in sixth place out of as many schools in the UNLV Invitational on Saturday. Running the course at Craig Ranch Park, the Falcons took sixth place with a score of 180 team points, with the other five schools being four-year universities. This Friday, the team will compete in the Brubaker Invitational at Irvine Regional Park in Orange.

The first of the six Falcons who competed on the day to complete the course was Grace Cervantes (Schurr HS), who recorded a 40th place time of 22:57.2, while the remaining five runners comprised the final five competitors on the day. Next to cross the finish line was Debora Lopez-Guzman (Gahr HS), who took 45th place in a time of 24:31.2, while Aileen Dominguez (La Mirada HS) was clocked in 24:33.0, good for 46th place. As for Monica Bautista (El Rancho HS), she posted a 47th place time of 24:45.6, with Adrianna Martinez (California HS) being the final runner to account for the team score with her 48th place time of 27:43.9. The final Cerritos runner was Glenn Nance (Gardena HS), who posted a 49th place time of 27:49.4.
