Hired in August, 2021 as the new Locker Room and Equipment Specialist, Todd Hewitt comes to Cerritos College with decades of experience at the NFL and collegiate level. Prior to joining the Falcons, Hewitt served as the Director of Equipment Operations at USC from 2012-2021, where he was in charge of all equipment (which includes, but is not limited to, practice apparel, game-day uniforms, footwear/shoes and towels) for the university’s 21 sports teams. He managed an eight-person staff and oversaw the whole operation including the high profile and tradition-rich USC Trojans football team, which required him to travel with the team for road games.

The son of Don Hewitt, who famously served as the equipment manager for the Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams for 32 years (1967-94), Todd followed in his father's footsteps. He worked for the Rams from 1979-2011 and was part of the staff when they won the Super Bowl in 2000.

As a child, Hewitt would join his father when he worked for the Rams and was a natural to take over after his dad's retirement. After leaving the Rams, Hewitt spent one year as the Director of Equipment Operations job at University of California, Berkeley before USC reached out to see if he was available.

Hewitt was a baseball player at UC Riverside, where he majored in Business Management with a minor in Physical Education.

Hewitt and his wife Kathy have been married for 36 years and have four children - Josh, an Assistant Athletic Director for Equipment at Fresno State University, Travis, Megan and Dalton and reside in Seal Beach.
