When the California Community College Football Coaches Association released their All-State teams, six members of the Cerritos College football team were listed for Region III. Additionally, sophomore running back Rhamondre Stevenson (Centennial, NV HS), who led the nation in rushing, was also selected to the All-American team.

Joining Stevenson on the All-State on offense were a pair of his linemen, center Fidel Mendes (Long Beach Jordan HS) and guard Adam Tourville (La Habra HS), while on defense, the Falcons were represented by defensive end Jason Nettles (Long Beach Poly HS), linebacker Latrell Stearns (Gahr HS) and safety Noah Guzman (Bishop Amat HS). All are sophomores except Guzman.

One of the most improved players in recent memory, Nettles led all defensive linemen with 68 tackles, while he paced the team in tackles for loss (17.5) and quarterback sacks (7). In addition, he posted a pair of forced fumbles and fumble recoveries, which included a pair of sacks against both Long Beach City College and San Diego Mesa College. Stearns, who was a running back in high school, was second on the team with 93 tackles and returned all three of his interceptions for touchdowns. He picked off passes in consecutive games, and returned one for 89 yards against Mt. San Antonio College. Stearns checked in with an amazing 19 tackles against El Camino College and also had 13 against Long Beach City.

Guzman, the lone freshman in the secondary to be named All-State, and a converted high school wide receiver, posted 74 tackles to finish third on the team, while he broke up six passes and added 4 1/2 tackles for loss and a pair of interceptions. His interceptions came in the final two games of the season, while he recorded double-digit tackles in games against Fullerton College and San Diego Mesa.

The two linemen were crucial to helping Stevenson rush for 2,111 yards and 16 touchdowns this season. As a team, the Falcons ranked second in the state in rushing yards, while they were also exceptional pass blockers which allowed Cerritos to throw for 2,224 yards and 20 touchdowns. Mendes and Tourville, as well as the rest of the offensive line, helped open holes for Stevenson, who set new school records in rushing yards in a season, as well as yards in a game, when he ran for 339 yards against Long Beach City. On the season, Stevenson, who signed with the University of Oklahoma, averaged 9.5 yards per carry on the season.
