Returning to the Falcon coaching staff after a one-year absence is as the offensive line is former Cerritos all-conference selection Phillip Garcia, who will also serve as the run game coordinator and media coordinator. A two-year starter for the Falcons, Garcia was a 1st Team all-conference selection his freshman season. He then earned a scholarship to the University of Arizona, where he was a two-year letterman for the Wildcats. While with Arizona, he blocked for one-time NFL quarterback Nick Foles and played alongside Rob Gronkwoski.

While coaching with the Falcons during his first three years, Garcia had nine of his linemen sign four-year scholarships, while seven were named all-conference and three were All-State selections.

Upon graduation, Garcia was hired as the offensive line coach at his alma mater, Schurr High, where he stayed from 2011-12. He then moved to Bishop Amat High, where he coached from 2013-17 and helped lead them to three league titles. He coached 12 offensive linemen that earned four-year scholarships, as well as a Mission League Lineman of the Year. While prepping at Schurr High, Garcia was a three-time letterman and helped them to three consecutive league titles, while earning all-league recognition.

Garcia earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies from the University of Arizona in 2010.

Garcia, 35, and his wife Jessica have been married for 12 years, have three children – Nevaeh (11) and Ezekiel (10) and Matthew (3) and reside in El Monte.
