With their lone opportunity to host an invitational this season, the Cerritos College men's track and field team picked up three wins. The Falcons saw thrower Casanova Ah-Fook capture a pair of first place finishes, while Bryce Pearson won the decathlon, which took place on Thursday. Next Friday and Saturday, the team will compete in the Cal State Los Angeles Invitational.

In the discus, Ah-Fook defeated the field with a distance of 37.00 meters, while his hammer throw that traveled 39.55 was good enough to win the event. Teammate Micah Norfles placed a distant second in the hammer with a throw of 34.00 meters. Ah-Fook also competed in the javelin and turned in a fourth place throw of 33.32 meters.

Cerritos also did well in the high jump, as the duo of Alan Tabales and Trysten Minter tied for third place when they both cleared 1.85 meters. It was a fifth place finish for Keyaun Sterling in the triple jump, as he posted a distance of 13.79 meters.

The running events saw the Falcon quartet of Jordan Miller, Colby Owens, Caleb Dunomes and Gary Morrow place third in the 1600-meter relay with a time of 3:24.97. Owens also finished in fifth place in the 800 meters at 2:04.25, while Joe Munoz saw his time of 4:21.82 earn him a fourth place finish.

Pearson was able to amass 5611 points over the 10 events in the decathlon on Thursday.
